    Jessica believes in the healing power of presence. She is passionate about providing space where those that are suffering from the effects of trauma can be seen and heard. She believes there is value, beauty and great purpose in everyone's story. She is determined to eliminate barriers to emotional healing that exist in our community and finds great joy in joining the Lord in His redemptive work in the lives of those we serve.     Treasurer & Marketing Communications Chair
    Victoria guides our brand communications, ensuring authenticity with our identity. She aims to share God's beauty through genuine conversations and warm hospitality, finding ongoing peace and joy in Christ's healing. Committed to shaping The Shalom Story's brand, she consistently invokes empathy, knowledge, and compassion. Her passion extends to unveiling the impact of trauma in our community, encouraging active participation to support the vulnerable. Cultivating fresh-cut flowers is another genuine expression of her creativity.

  • Rhea Witmer

    Secretary, CTRS
    Rhea answered the Lord's call to The Shalom Story, ready to serve wherever needed. Serving as the board secretary is an unexpected blessing.

    Her passion for people ignited at a young age, working at a summer camp for individuals with intellectual disabilities. This experience shaped her career as a Recreation Therapist, using trauma-informed care in an acute inpatient psychiatric setting.

    Growing up with horses, Rhea enjoys teaching about animals, nature, creative arts, and mental health. Her mission is to create an energetic atmosphere of empathy, joy, and peace for everyone at The Shalom Story.

    LMSW, Equine-assisted Psychotherapist
    Meg firmly believes that our participants are the experts of their own experiences, and her primary role is to listen to and provide unwavering support as they embark on their healing journey from past trauma.

    She is a dedicated counselor with a profound commitment to holistic healing for trauma survivors. Her specialized training equips her with the skills to guide participants along a pathway to wholeness and peace. With Meg's compassionate guidance, individuals can find the strength and support they need to heal and thrive.
